Resources for Codie Mom - language barrier
I'm looking for resources in Chinese for my super codie Mom. She's expressed interest in learning about detachment and coping strategies so she can stop taking what my Dad sometimes says personally. He's been a complete lost case since his brain injury accident & she hasn't learned how to let go with love. The problem is she's illiterate & I'm having problems finding vid/audio resources for her in Chinese. Does anyone know where I can find?
Perhaps the Al-Anon organization has their material (particularly on detachment) printed in a variety of languages? There are probably others who are more involved in that organization who could answer.... Hopefully someone will chime in soon!
International Meetings
I am sure materials are translated as the group is international...but I have no suggestion on how to get your hands on those, except to keep searching the internet. A good place to start would be the link above.
Sorry for the vague answer!

My local AlAnon didn't have any leads for me to follow on this. They do have printed material in other languages but my Mom is illiterate & can't read any of it. She needs info delivered in audio or video format.
Hmmmm...perhaps, if you are fluent yourself, you could simply record yourself reading some al-anon materials in Chinese and give her those recordings. Would she accept those or would it have to be a recording of someone else?
