As I mentioned, we did a hike yesterday. My feet still hurt today, but it was worth it. The signs says "LOWER DEAD FALL LAKE ELEVATION 7160"

We saw pitcher plants. A carnivorous plant that is somewhat rare.

There was a beautiful little stream meandering through the meadow.

I love this one of that dead tree, standing all alone and surrounded by hundreds of healthy live trees. Sort like some of us have been in our pasts, and others are now in toxic addicted relationships.

Feeling almost dead, on our own and so alone......surrounded by other people in healthy and happy relationships, and wishing to be part of them.

Sorry, but this picture just screamed these feelings out at me.

Don't be sorry. It's very satisfying to me when one of my images evokes emotions in someone else. In fact, I think that is the ultimate goal of photography. At least for me, it is.

I didn't really "see" that on an obvious level, but maybe that's why I was attracted to it and couldn't help myself from stopping on the trail to shoot it.

Beautiful, LTD. As always - your fan! ; )

P.S. Luna looks so happy! I got both pups swimming this summer - one took right to it and even likes going underwater. The newer guy...he loves to splash around but not the greatest swimmer...he looks like he is drowning!

Oh, I had a whole other kinda story.
The tree has branches pointed in different directions.
It points to "Bigfoot", where? Over there? Over here? Everywhere, and nowhere.

I love Bigfoot and his stories, and LTD you are up there where there are many sightings?

Yes, I live in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest--Bigfoot Territory. Now, if only I could get one good clear photo, I'd be rich! LOL

Well, look at those two brown blob squatches in the tree way in the back, near the top of the tree. The believers will go for it. Ya gotta get a story though.
