Bless you all for these lovely greetings and wishes. I had a lovely day yesterday and again at lunch today with eldest daughter and her "girl". Today I was told that I am to be a great grandma in April, actually around the time of my dear mum's 1st anniversary. (Mum died 18th April of this year).
To say I was pleased, excited and ready to dance with joy does not even get close to how I felt. Somehow I get the feeling mum had her words in a couple of ears up there in Heaven and wanted to make sure us souls down here had joy instead of sadness around her passing time.
I have been popping in here sometimes, even tho not posting and really it is like looking at those daytime serials like Days of our Lives...you know, where you don't watch for a while then see and episode and NOTHING seems to have changed much.
I do see some folks who have moved ahead in their lives, gained knowledge and strength and gotten out of the alco swamp, and others who have found Alanon and are reading like crazy to understand WTF happened to their dreams.
Unfortunately there are more new ones in pain, bewildered and pleading for help, and so the drama keeps unfolding. Thank God for SR and those who are here with the lessons learnt, experience to share as well as the love, kindness and support they offer so freely to others.
Now I need to go thru my image collection and get ready to post a few in replies. It seems so long since I spent hours doing that, and am itching to get back to it.
