Last few Christmases, I spent the time in pain and sadness, anger, resentment.

This Christmas I am going to define my happiness and my happy holiday as I choose to.

For the last several years on NYE, I spent the night intending quietly what I wanted to create in my life for the year to come.

Everyone was out drinking and screaming, or at nice dinners with whoever, or whatever.

Those have been my best New Years. The ones that I defined my own good night, my own happy time.

I am going to Christmas at As familys house, then I am bowing out early, and going to a nice friends house.
I will be cordial and pleasant with MIL. I will not overly engage, and I will be fine.
