OT-new additions to the zoo crew
Their cage is set up in my computer room since I'm in there a good portion of the day. Needless to say, it's hard to concentrate on homework when they are acting like goobers!
It's been a mixed reaction. Miss Dot will touch noses with them through the cage, but has lost interest in sitting in front of the cage watching them for very long. Shiloh and Randy couldn't care less. Sissy is scared of them, and Miss Bug will go over to the cage very concerned when they are playing and making their funny little noses. The dogs have been around pet rats before, but ferrets are a first for this crew, though I did have a ferret back in 1998.
Yep, that's where she got the name from. It was funny too when she brought them home, she 'thought' the gal had said mine was a female.
I had no name for mine for a couple of days until I got more of a feel for the personality.
I thought of Lucille Ball because she was one of my favorite comedians, so Lucy was the chosen name.
Amber had them in the master bathroom one day to play, and discovered we had two males! So, since I am a fan of the Underworld movies, I changed Lucy to Lucian. With the red eyes, and being the more 'naughty' of the two, it's been a fitting name.

((((DeVon)))) - they're so CUTE!!! I don't know that I'd be able to concentrate on homework, with them right there...I'd be too busy watching them play!
Good thing you have them in cages..I heard they abscond all kinds of things and hide it. Wouldn't want you to have to explain your homework is "somewhere" but not quite sure?
Hugs and prayers,
Amy

Oh, dear Lord....I see you now telling a lecturer, teacher, whoever that "I did do my work. I tell you my ferrets ate my homework".
Just how large is your home, Von? It seems to expand to fit whoever or whatever joins your crew.
Ferrets can be very vicious, and can attack humans, so I just wondered if you were going to "introduce" your lovies, to Amber's chappie anytime soon.

Their 'out' time is in the master bathroom, supervised, with lots of toys.
Amber did take one of the ferrets out to meet her chappie one day (he was in my driveway in his truck), but the ferret didn't want anything to do with him! Good judge of character I'd say.
I actually live in a 2-story, 4 bedroom house.
