My Niece was killed last week
Oh Jazz, I am so sorry for your family's loss. That little girl will need much love and support from people who know her and knew her mother. You can help her by telling her stories about her mom, what a kind and wonderful person she was, and how much she loved her little girl.
Hugs to you, Jazz. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Oh, Scott, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how it feels to still be recovering from one loss and having another loss happen right on its heels. It's like being knocked underwater in the ocean and you keep trying to find your footing and catch your breath, but one wave after another just keeps knocking you right back down again. And once you finally right yourself it feels like a near drowning because it was.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and hoping that the sands of time will heal your pain.

I am so very sorry for your family's loss.
My mother died in a car accident when I was 8. So, if I can offer some advice, please shower your niece's daughter with extra love, patience and tolerance in the coming years, because her pain has only begun, and it will last her whole life. She faces a difficult road. The death of a parent for a child doesn't become part of the past the way major losses do for adults-- it stays part of the present, and stays, and stays. I will pray for her.

The drivers blood chemistry came back positive for meth, driving all night and crossed the center line on a desolate highway in the middle of nowhere. My niece was sleeping in the back seat and died instantly then the vehicle burst into flames. Tragic.
Jazz,
I can't bring myself to click on the "thanks" button for the above post as it seems disrespectful somehow, yet I want to thank you:
Thank you for being here
Thank you for sharing your situation with us
Thank you for showing your real self to us and allowing us to reach out to you
Thank you for being the wonderful man that you are
Thank you for your wisdom and compassion, and for loving your family the way that you do.
I am so incredibly sorry for the tragic loss of your niece, but amazed and proud for you at how your recovery shines thru even in the darkest of times.
Thank you for showing us how to walk thru something like this with dignity and grace.
