Moving up in my job already!

First of all, I want to make it clear that this is all happening due to a loving God, working a program of recovery, and having an incredible support network of friends in recovery, AA and Alanon alike.

Me being the good codie that I am, when my boss told me today that we 'needed to talk' and she closed her office door as I sat down, guess where my mind went? "Oh my gawd, I have made a terrible mistake somewhere and she's firing me", "Oh my gawd, her department has had budget cuts and she's cutting me loose", "Oh my gawd, she just flat out hates me."

Nope. Not even close!

She let me do some transcription yesterday, which was fun and yet nerve-wracking because there is so much to learn and it was my first time.

Well, she wants to put me at my own little 'station', which will be in a different area from all the 'noise' (all of us gals are in one big room), and I will be doing occupational therapy transcription. She also says that will give me work 95% of the time (these 2 and 3 days off on a paycheck are killing me financially), AND, more than likely it will work up to 32 hours or more, which qualifies me as full-time with benefits!

She couldn't give me an exact date on when I will start as the company that comes in and updates the transcription/coding software from time to time will have to install that on the computer I will be on.

I'm so frigging excited, I can't stand it. I keep pinching myself to see if I'm really awake or dreaming this!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

I have an PT/OT account I transcribe for. Long reports but not too hard on the terminology once you get going on it. I hate having to stop to look up new terms or tests.

With a good chair to sit in, it will be a lot easier on your back than that filing was for sure!!

Way to go!!!!

Oh, believe me, my 'good' chair that I already use at work is getting wheeled right over to my new workstation when I start! When I came in this morning, my desk was being used as we had an extra coder, and they had already wheeled MY chair over to where I was working (I trained them fast)!

I've been in/around the medical field since I was a senior in high school, so I pick up on terminology pretty quickly (plus I aced Med Terminology my first semester).

Gads, I am just positively beaming (can anyone else see the glow), and I got my platinum blonde color touched up today at the beauty shop, so that helps, eh?

To get the fruit to fall, you have to shake the tree.

Baby, you have that tree doin' the mambo!!!

These good things are the fruits of your labor and your loving God placing you where you need to be when you need to be there. Together you are taking the world by storm.

Better job = better pay = more funds for bills = no more help needed with the finances = reclaiming the abode as your own. It's akin to the theory of relativity actually. Yeah that's right. It's a chain of events that that is your destiny!!

All this dancing banana talk has me itchin' to boogie!!

I'm up for it. A little salsa maybe? Maybe a little jumpin' jive?

Shake, shake, shake Senora, shake your body line...
Work, work, work Senora, work it all the time...

I'd be so excited at the news Dev, I wouldn't sleep a wink all weekend!!

I'd have to dance to get all my wiggles out!
