car totalled, but lucky...

This morning on the way to the gym, I saw a truck coming at me very fast (45 mph) and thought - "I am going to die!" It was a 5 car pile up, my car had to be towed away and is junk. The guy behind me that caused it, was a very polite 37 year old. After talking with all people involved, I noticed the guy was not totally making sense. He sat on the curb next to me, I smelled for alcohol and couldn't believe I couldn't detect it. Other police showed up and gave him a sobriety test and handcuffed up - yup a DUI (they suspect vodka and drugs). Now looking at the police report, I see he was driving a family member's car and no insurance information. (great).

The story was - the guy was out partying until 3 am and still was buzzed at 7am. I am glad no one was seriously hurt.

This was my fear when my AH was drinking. A person could stand to lose SO much!

I just wanted to write to say I feel glad to be alive!

PS And I really did finally start reading Co-depency No More, it's good!

glad you are ok - you can read my previous post about my SIL that was hit by a guy driving under the influence in May of this yr. She just had major surgery because of this accident & will probably never be able to work again.

Hope you don't have too much trouble getting your vehicle replaced or repaired.

Wishing you Serenity & Joy,
Rita
