Light a candle

Please visit my son's memorial site and light a candle in his memory. Remember that it's a work in progress.

Thank you,
Trish

Exclamation John

Ladyjane,

What a wonderful tribute. I have a son that tried suicide and lived. He drank and used some drugs to self-medicate his depression. He is a quadraplegic now. It is so sad for me and my husband. He is a Veteran so gets all the medical help from the VA. He lives in his own home with caregivers coming in. He is 38 years old.

We lost his twin sister when they were four and a half months old...a SIDS death. This was part of the demons in his head..wondering what she would look like and be like at his age.

He went for help for his depression and alcohol problems but didn't grasp it..wanted to drink rather than take the medications.

Bless you and your family,

kelsh

I lost my brother when he was just 22 years old. That was 11 years ago, and I still miss him terribly and cry often. I can't imagine the pain of losing a child. It's too much to even think of. My parents were never the same again. A part of them died that day, too. We began to measure time with phrases like "before Joel died" and "after Joel died" because it was the most significant event in our lives.

Hugs to you from another one who's lost a loved one much too soon.
