I just read this and thought it was too good not to pass along!
Going after what you want most can be daunting, but no one is going to do it for you. So if you're cursing yourself for signing up for skydiving lessons - even though they're on your "things to do before I die" list - because they're too expensive or frivolous, stop and think about what inspired you to take the plunge in the first place. Don't push aside goals just because you think they'll take too much time, energy, or risk. Write a list of five dreams or desires and log all of the benefits next to each one to remind yourself why and how much it matters to you. Let your gut - not your guilt - guide you.

chero, i just wanted you to know that i read this post this morning, and have spent the past few hours thinking about my five dreams and what i want them to be - and i'm so proud because they all have to do with ME and making my life better and being proud of who i am. it's the first time in a long time that i really put thought into something that centers around me, and not around someone else. thanks for this post!

Goals are key for me.
If I dont know what I want and where I want to be, how am I gonna get there?
Little daily goals are good..here are mine for the day.
today I want to eat right
Today I want to go to the gym after work
Today I want to give 100% at work
Today I want to give my dog a bath when I get home
Tonight I want to get to bed by 11.
Today I want to try not to cuss so much.
(That will be the toughest one for me!)
