Hi Sunflower- Age is all relative. I remember thinking how ancient I would be at age 30! Wow, that's old! It is - when you're 12. You know the drill - there are 70-year-old women out there who wish they were 49 again

We are hurting but we'll go on - and when we get to a peaceful place again let's not forget to value it every day of our lives.

Forget Job, blame Adam and Eve!~ Their lack of obedience created this world we were born into. Im amazed how screwed up it really is and how so many of us still find ways to live through it.
Sometime the pain we feel and see seems so over whelming in our eyes. And sometimes it just is over-whelming. SO MY DEAR just cry, scream, kick, whatever it takes to make it through! Let it out, let that spot be filled with something more! More pleasant, more enjoyable, more LOVING. If you/we keep that crap inside it will just take up space for those things we truly need to fill our lives with.
Im beginning to see it's those of us that let it out, deal with it, and we emerge on the other side better, maybe brused but better. It's those around us that do not or cannot or do not know how to deal that cause the pain. They keep it inside and "use" something else to deal/coverup what they are truly feeling!
Your not old, your maturing into the lady God has created you to be. You will be here for years to come to offer a helping hand or encouraging word to those that walk behind us! That is why we walk these paths. Someone MUST show those to come that it is walkable - liveable - !

You have many friends here, we are in your corner. Sometimes a good cry is in order, it is a great release valve.

You are not old, h*ll in a couple of months I turn 60, and I believe I am young, of mind and soul...looking forward to my next decade of learning and experiencing life at it's finest.

I'm 51. I'm doing things I couldn't have done before now. Some things just don't come when we're young. I don't hurry anymore but I don't dally either.
I am comfortable with who I am, I never used to be.
In many ways life isn't winding down, it's just starting.

Sunflower--Think of it as letting out the "old" so there is room for the "new". I got you beat by 10 yrs, also work in healthcare, and I also have an AS so I feel your pain. I just read and read and read--Al Anon literature, this web site (esp. the quotes), etc. etc. etc. I often chose one positive phrase for a day and keep saying it over and over and over. You made me feel better because I have been so close so often, and I now know we can have a meltdown and get up and dust ourselves off and go on. Take care!
