Who IS in control here?!
Hi,
OK, so I have heard of things happening in 3's.... But this is ridiculous!
First, I find out the hassle I have to go thru getting my son on a surprise trip to Disneyland
Then a good friend of my A's mom and Dad passes away
Then, my A hits his bottom (which may be a blessing )
Then I have to rearrange all my finances, and realize how broke I am, and how broke our business is
Then ANOTHER friend of my A's family passes away
And this morning I wake up with Strep Throat and an ear infection
And my youngest boy has Hand, Foot and mouth disease...
Call it "stinking thinking", but I can't help but fear that the ONE thing I am looking forward to in the next couple of weeks - our trip to Disneyland - will either be ruined by rain, a hassle at the border, or will simply NOT happen at all. Yes, I am TRYING to leave it up to God... I KNOW I am not in control of these things. But I am struggling...

When I hear about, or
experience things like this, I take serious issue with the phrase "God never gives you more than you can handle." I hope that things ease up for you soon and that you have a hassle-free trip to Disney. I'll be a total Pollyanna and say that maybe it's better that you and your son are sick now instead of getting sick on the trip. Sorry, that was lame. My pom-poms are at the dry cleaners.
Peace,
Gabe

Hey, I was thinking the same thing as Gabe - get all the sickness out of the way now so you can have the time of your life in Disney. Positive thinking!!!
Hope you feel better!

Hi Meg!
That IS the reason that you are sick now. God would never want you to be sick at the HAPPIEST PLACE on EARTH!!
Wishing you a speedy recovery and a wonderful time at Disneyland!
Take care,
