Sailing Sober- Weekenders 10-13 April 2020

to the Weekenders

I thought how much I’d like to sail away this weekend, forget our worries for a while. Fancy a trip?

Sounds impossible I know with our current world problems.

So let’s dig deep into our little grey cells and
prepare to sail.

No rules except one, it’s a alcohol free weekend.

We need experienced yachtsmen and women to help guide the newbies and not so experienced?

Let’s leave it all behind on the shore and sail away.

Volunteers needed for Captain, Pilot, Deck Hands, Cooks and medical care.

How about seeing dolphins?

Kayaking around the island?

And don’t forget the beach!

And a picnic for all of us!

If this is your first weekend sober, or many, come join us for support and chat...as we know the weekends can be a struggle sometimes.

(Psst. We’re not just here to talk about the good stuff, if you’re struggling.....please shout out).
(We’re here all week too!)

Thank you, Mags!

I love the sea and all related to it. And though no one can say now when we'll get an opportunity to travel again, I can employ my imagination).

I am in!

I'm in for a sober weekend.

Thanks Mags and well done, what a great idea, being able to sail away. I hope the hospital visit went well.

Congratulations on shotgun MidnightBlue.

I prefer a sailing yacht but even they have engines and generators so I will volunteer as engineer.

Thanks for the update, Mags. As I'm still working, we're finishing today and not back til Tuesday. Not that it makes much difference in the climate we are in now though.

Morning, Sao and Reid.

With such an engineer as Sao we are safe on our journey.

Should we pick a name for our yacht?

Saou is Engineer!

Reid, nice long weekend, come join us on the weekend yacht!

Midnight, can you think of a name? When I was looking at yachts I came across ‘Recovery’.

All went fantastically smooth at the hospital. I felt like a robber with my mask and gloves on. Was well impressed with the nurses in medical day care.

great idea MB - ask the internet to name a boat, what could possibly go wrong?

glad your hospital visit went well Mags.

I'm going to propose Serenity for the name of the ship.

I like Serenity, Andy.

I am also fancying something Roman-Latin-glorious type, like Invicta (Invincible).

Maybe, Invicta Serenity?

Count me in
Invicta Serenity is a most fabulous yacht

That picnic looks hugely delicious! I’d like to be the kitchen hand I think, I’m not a great cook, but I’m happy to help prep food and chop things up and wash dishes

May we all have following seas.

I'll be over here with Mesa on tunes.

Thanks for this, Mags. Nothing could be better.

Plus I heard there was food.
