Neat day
Today’s day 265. Which means, of course, only 100 days until a whole year! I don’t like to count days as much anymore though because I don’t want to speed my life up. I want to enjoy all the time I have here. But, to see the days add up is exciting and makes me so proud.
It’s amazing how perspectives change. When I was starting out, it was so hard that to make it to 100 days seemed like an eternity. Now things are so much easier on a daily basis and to add up only 100 more days to make a year seems, dare I say, easy. A hell of a lot easier than living as an alcoholic.
Not that there aren’t any bumps, but for all you early newcomers here (and I still consider myself a newcomer), it gets so much easier. And life gets really enjoyable. And so many options open up. It’s terrific.

Nine months was a big turning point for me, Sohard.
I felt peace and serenity, maybe for the first time since I started drinking.
It was delicious.
Congrats on your time, I know it was hard-fought. It keeps getting better.

I keep noticing more and more comfort in everyday thinking and activities. For a year or two I kinda felt like I was missing something. Mostly smoking. I stopped drinking and smoking at the same time. When I would work on projects around the house or just anything.I always had a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. I really don't miss any of those things any more. Life is awesome!
