Good

I'm doing well thank you. I didn't go to an AA meeting tonight. Sometimes it feels like so much pressure from other AA folks to make a meeting everyday. It stresses me out... lol.

See,

This site saved my life. Without it, I was doomed to relapse over and over.

At 80 days clean I thought I was going insane and folks here told me what I felt was normal recovery and that it could take years to normalize.

So here I am still normalizing.

Belly full of barbeque, gym, laundry, shopping done. Ready to take on a 2 day work weak and off on a 9 day cruise.

Without SR, I would be wasted, if not passed out right now.

Thanks.

Welcome SeeClear! I'm finishing Day 5 as well. I slipped on May 23rd after 28 days of sobriety.
I mention this because you should think about a plan, when your triggers (stress, anger, boredom, fatigue, etc) tempt you to seek escape by drinking .
Do whatever you think will distract you from caving (go for a walk, call a trusted friend, pray or meditate or attend an AA meeting or reach out to someone here on SR).
You can do this - one day at a time.

Onward

Welcome, SeeClear. I'm very glad you found us. This is a great place for help, advice and support from people who get it and has been a huge part of my getting and staying sober. I hope you stick around and keep posting. Good job on day 5!

Don't always be a people pleaser. You decide on what meetings you want to attend and let that stand. I choose to go on Tuesday and Thursday nights as I feel those days work best for me. I think your AA friends have good intentions however you are the pilot of your own plane.
