Tomorrow
It is too late for me today.
Can anyone give me some strategies and hope for tomorrow?
I typically start in right after my morning coffee. No work tomorrow, and if I am not working, these days, I'm drinking.
I have not been sober in five years.

Hi.
Call your doctor. You can't do this cold turkey. Very dangerous.
I'd taper if you can't get ahold of your doctor. Drink lots of water and eat as healthy as possible. Post here as these folks are immensely supportive and knowledgeable. It's going to be rough for first 4-5 days, but it's much better than being drunk.

Withdrawals can be dangerous.
It is NOT too late today, LSNP. Sobriety starts the moment drinking stops. No last hurrah's, or finish the bottle. See a doctor about w/d safely. Sobriety needs to be planned. There is lots of info in the sticky's on that. Like losing weight, or training for a marathon- daily planning is vital. Also like there- support is essential. Will power does not work. Repeating the same behaviours and 'hoping' for a better tomorrow, for a different result does not happen. Go to a meeting, AA/SMART. Ii avided these for years 'oh it is not for me- it is all about that god crap'. NO- it is about hearing past the clichés and making a firm decision to not drink. At the end of this day- you are the only one who will make you stop. SR, meetings will help you on the journey- as it does for many, but you have to be the one to make the changes. Rest, eat, hydrate- and see a doc.

Yes, there is hope for tomorrow. You deserve to be healthier and free of addiction! You can have this for yourself, and it sounds like you're ready. Stay safe with medical support as needed, sleep as much as you can, stay hydrated, keep busy and check in with SR often. You can do this!

My son was in his Spring break as a freshman?
I had received a wine a month gift for XMas.
Five bottles piled up. I had One Glass.... and the rest has been five years of blur.
Self-Loathing.
Vodka is now my DOC. It seeps from my poors.
Drinking light beer is still drinking LSNP, maybe slightly less, but it's still alchohol. Cold turkey can be dangerous so it's good to proceed with caution, maybe even see a doc or call a rehab center if you think it will be bad. But make no mistake, drinking beer is still drinking.
