New strategy

So, it turns out happy hour isn't the trigger. It is the transition from day time activities to evening activities of any sort.

My new strategy is tosit and read SR for a few moments before heading home.

I hope it works, Sath! I think making more than 27 posts in six months might help...

Try the 24-Hour Club. Then you're making at least one post a day!

Ha. Anything and everything is a "trigger" when you are in active alcoholism.

Nothing can make me drink now - I made the decision. I don't drink, no matter what.

Hope that helps.

Here was your previous post:

I second Coldfusion's suggestion to use SR more. And as much support as you can gather. If AA is an option, go for it. Doing it on your own doesn't seem to be cutting it.

Doing it myself sure has not worked. I have gained strings of days and even a month or two. Thanks for the thoughts everyone.

Welcome back

You'll get back what you put into your recovery so give it everything you've got Sath - you'll be glad you did
