Don't beat yourself up. Stand up, dust yourself off, & start all over again. You can do this, I believe in you.

Dump them. What made you decide to buy beer? What's been going on to get you drinking? The shame will start going away once you choose to be sober again. You can do it.

Pour that beer, toni, straight down the drain.

What led up to drinking those two beers? Is there something you can do differently today?

Sorry to hear that tonib,

I would pour the beers out and try not to beat yourself up about it. Stay on SR for the support we all need and check in often. I'm sure everyone on this site has done what you done last night

If you like, you could join our class, October 2014. we have a lot of great members there

I agree with the wise folks above - get those beers out of the house. It'll take 10 seconds to dump them, just do it. That's job 1. The next task is to stay sober today. We're here to help if you need support.

Well done, toni.!!!!

Don't forget, SR is 24/7; talk to us, friend, before thinking about going to the liquor store.

Good decision Toni, and don't buy anymore beer today. Can you come up with a plan to deal with a bad day at work in a healthy way?

As long as I had alcohol in reach,
in my refrigerator, cabinet, it was
always talking to me. Always testing,
tempting, inticing me.

I was so powerless over alcohol that
until I learned about my addiction,
received a program of recovery to
incorporate in my everyday life and
most of all, made changes of people,
places and things associated with
alcohol then I was never gonna get
sober.

I had to admit I had a drinking problem
and accept that fact, then believe in using
a program of recovery before I could begin
to heal, get healthy, honest and finally happy
in my life today.

way to go on dumping those beers.

It's a feeling of power isn't it? You are more powerful than that beer right now!

Came to believe a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity. This is the only thing that ever worked for me.

Everyone has their own path, glad you posted and dumped the beers !
If you ever feel you need outside support there is another solution that works for many.

Best of luck friend to you and all of us on our journey.

Peace
Fly

Sounds to me as though you had a craving for a cigarette and that's what set the thing off.

Sometimes wanting to smoke can be quickly stopped if you have something to eat instead. Even just getting a sandwich and cup of hot tea and thinking about whether you really want to go and get beer can help a lot.
