So...who has been watching the Olympics...
...and wishing you...were them?
The 2014 Winter Olympics.
The hard work and dedication and training, for YEARS to reach and achieve the level of the olympic athlete is nothing less than monumental! The blood...sweat...and TEARS...the pure commitment and fortitude of the human WILL and endurance to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds to WIN!!!....to win the gold !!!
And they do it clean and sober !!! Thats the ONLY way they can have a chance at "Bringing Home the Gold" !!!
To them, drinking and drugging are and have ALWAYS been TABOO !!!...They never even give it a thought because they KNOW...it's off limits. Always have been...always will be. They know they cant do it ! PERIOD. End of disscussion!! They know it.
Why cant we "Get It" ?
The athletes have a life long ambition to bring home the gold and live the life of there dreams, reaching goals they set for themselves when just mere babes !!
What are your dreams...your hopes and desires...What goals and aspireations do you have? How will YOU change the world as you know it to be the world you want it to be? It IS in your power you know...to change YOUR world for the better.
Yes...it IS !!!
Make the decision NOW...to forever be the best you can be !!! The choice is yours. Just be prepaired to WORK for it !...and you and your world, can be anything you want to be.

I've thought about the same thing. These athletes can't mess around screwing up their minds and bodies.
Filling our bodies with poison only steals our dreams.
It is encouraging to watch the athletes, and for me, even more interesting hearing their stories. We can all go for it.

I agree, Russia vs USA was a real treat.
I immediately push "mute" button on my remote and do something else during this.
I plugged my antenna back in TV set just for Olympics, usually it gathers dust)
By the way - what kind of your own records do you want to set while Olympics are still going on, SR mates?
I am not eating bread for the next week - have to get rid of my stubborn extra 6-7 pounds.

its hard sometimes, though, to see what happens to pro athletes after the fact.....here in Detroit...the Red Wings had a beloved player in Darren McCarty. He appeared on an episode of Hardcore Pawn where they gave him a job at the pawn shop. He was dead broke....and looked terrible. So sad. Addiction sucks....

and did you notice that he didn't take a penalty shot like most players do? He so nonchalantly took the puck at the blue line....skates to the right...skates to the left....oh so slowly...to the right again.....again to the left.....oh so slowly...by this time the Russian goal tender is like "Dude-ski....just freakin shoot-ski already"....then ...at the last second he turns on the after burner and blasts it past him....

I saw an interview he gave shortly after the game. He said he pretty much had his shot planned out in advance.....but he watched the goalie to see how he was moving and where his eyes were.
Also, another news show I watched entitled the sports story, "Miracle on Ice - Part II" LOL
