pen to paper, new day 1

Missing for a day , tryin to find words. One word is all I needed, failed, then another two, start over , I will. Pen to paper. Write it down, what worked, what didn't. Never give up , never ever. God Bless

we have all been there, with me straight at the top of the list.

the only important bit is making sure you pick your self back up, dust yourself down and have another go.

My best to you
Xxxx

Congratulations on coming back. Even tho the letters AA are a turnoff to some it has a better record than many other help groups. The big problem with drinking again I found for myself is it gets harder each time to come back and we're not guaranteed a come back. BE WELL

That sums it up.

I'm careful with using motivational quotes. It's too easy to come off a little too trite. But I saw this yesterday and it really resonates with what you wrote about never giving up:

Effort only fully releases its reward
after a person refuses to quit.
--Napoleon Hill

Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich, was one of the great writers about personal success. He could have just as easily made his mark in addiction recovery.

Here's another...

No one ever is defeated until defeat has been accepted as a reality.

You can do this.

Welcome back TR. What can you learn from this time to keep it from happening again?

Failed?

You stayed sober for a week, and you're ready to try it again. Those are ingredients in every success recipe I've read on this forum.

Giddyup!

Don't dwell on past mistakes.

It gets you nowhere.

Be strong and look on the positive.

You have done 11 days, the most clean time in 11 years.
Don't see it as I did 11 days then failed.

I know you can be who you want to be xx

I probably had aver a thousand day 1's.

You're right - never give up. Learn and move on.

It's great to see you back and trying again.
