Anyone get absolutely NO withdrawal symptoms?
I had been an every day drinker for 2yrs, for the last six months of that averaging 2 or more litres of vodka daily.
I noticed no changes stopping cold turkey, except for boredom from free sober time and mild insomnia as I no longer passed out from booze and had to actually fall asleep.
Was I lucky?
Sorry this is in wrong forum, im not new to recovery. was just wondering how others fared.

Sometimes I had detoxes like that sure...
then I'd use them as proof I wasn't as bad as I thought and go back to drinking...more often than not I had a normal 'kill me now' detox next time....
Chalk it up as a lucky break theend22

I myself had NUMEROUS times throughout the years when I thought I "should" have withdrawal, and didnt. Then I drank again, and wound up in the hospital three times.
Be careful, and listen to Dee's wise advice.
Best of luck...be strong

I was never a daily drinker myself. I would drink once every few months but when I do I would go on for days on need. Getting really trash and having a bad hangovers aka, can't sleep, shakes, sweet, throw up and anxiety. It's the price the pay when you place the binge game. :-/

Ive been through actual withdrawal before quitting SSRIs cold turkey....Now that was absolute hell.
Though ever since I quit, I am addicted to caffeine and coffee. Im fine with that addiction lol.
