OT: When it rains ...
In addition to the most recent drama with ABF, there are health concerns with my dad. After going to a cardiologist about some chest pain, he's going for more testing and possibly a procedure. He takes full care of my sick mom, and I live in a different state. I will be able to go there and help as needed however.
Stress.
It does put my ABF drama in perspective. This is where my attention needs to be. My family is fighting for their health. Meanwhile he's risking his own.

(((Jessie))) - things like this DO put things into perspective.
When I was with XABF#1 (the one I was with for 20+ years) he missed my mom's funeral because "he adored her, got drunk because he was hurting and was too hungover". Dad met my step-mom-to-be, my baby stepsister died in a car wreck at 18 and he wasn't there for me then, either. He "adored" her, too. It wasn't until HIS dad died that he said "OMG, I am so sorry I wasn't there for you..nowI understand". He still didn't change.
Your mom and dad are priorities IMO. Take care of you and do what you need, and can, for them.
Hugs and prayers,
Amy
