Thanks to all of you, but tough love stinks!

I have been gone for a long while! For those of you that kept up with me and checked in, thank you! We lost our son two months ago, and I am just now getting up the guts to tell you all, with my husbands nudging. The past two months have been the hardest EVER. I really thought dealing with our AS was tough but the grieving process is much much worse. I just wanted to thank everyone for giving me advice when needed. I really wish the tough love would have worked out but it didn't in our case. The one thing that keeps me going is knowing that my son is no longer struggling with his addictions, deamons, mental illness AND I am no longer worrying on a daily basis about him. For now, I am going to move on to the grief forum

You are living what so many of us fear. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your dear son. He is at peace now. You and your husband will be in my prayers today. May you find serenity knowing that your son is now watching over you.

i am so sorry for the loss of your precious son - the fear of facing that reality can be excruciating but actually having to live through that reality must truly be unbearable - my prayers will be with you as you move forward from this - i know you will cherish your memories of happier times with your son - i hope you will check in from time to time and let us know how you are

I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious son. I do completely understand your feeling that he is at peace and no longer struggling. I found that to be of comfort as well. My prayers for comfort as you walk through this grieving process. Time softens the pain...I am so sorry.
