Recovery Songs
I know there is a post about movies that have to do with addiction/recovery. I'm sure there is one about music too, somewhere, but either way, I'd like to get a good list of music that inspires you in your sobriety. It's tough because so many songs glamorize or even just mention drinking/using. I've made a playlist on You Tube, so I will mention a few I've added.
The River - this is where I got the quote for my signature - not technically an addiction song, but it does inspire change.
YouTube - The River lyrics
Great Day to be Alive - This song makes me happy inside. "I'm feeling pretty good and that's the truth, it's neither drink nor drug induced..."
YouTube - TRAVIS TRITT ~ GREAT DAY TO BE ALIVE [LIVE] [LYRICS]
High Cost of Living - Really good song, describes some of my feelings about addiction.
YouTube - Jamey Johnson - High Cost Of Living W/ Lyrics
These are just a few that I have on my list.......anyone care to add to the list here?

There is an older song out there (I'm dating myself) by Neils Lofgren (used to perform with Bruce Springsteen) called "Only Five Minutes", about how life can change and fall apart from the decision to have one drink. I've listened to this at times when I felt like I could have "just one or two", really makes me think it through.
