What do you find a "natural rush" in sobriety?

For me, a huge one would be watching these guys!!! I could watch them for hours and not get tired of it! My dream would be to fly in one of these jets!!!! Haven't seen them "live" yet, but I hope to, possibly this summer! What a rush!!!!

YouTube - Blue Angels - taking care of business

What is one/or what are some of yours??

You know what, I'm still looking for one! It's got to be some sort of intense physical activity. I'm thinking about rock climbing. I'll watch this thread for ideas

And yeah, I used to love watching fighter jets take off and land, very cool.

Music! Always.Live comedy too. Flying dreams(I never had them while drinking-I do more now for some reason) Hence I loved the video of the Blue Angels too-thanks for posting it.What a blast that would be! Oh-and roller coasters.I went on many at Disneyland last year but I want to go on the Silver Bullet one day at Knotts.Maybe next year!(I'd never have enjoyed that while drinking-lol)

Being free, looking at the stars at night, looking out across the ocean or at mountains.

I have to agree with the music. I love music. I am always listening and singing and grooving.
I really feel the lyrics and the sound all through me.

And the ultimate natural high is....Days like today where we had a huge bday BBQ for my uncle and everyone was there. Just chillin and laughing and eating and having the best time. We get together often and have a blast. We all get along and are very close and we arent judgmental to one another and we can be who we are and its ok.

And another is when my lil cousins give me hugs and like to be around me and feel safe with me.

I didnt even feel safe in my own hands for so long.

It is an absolute priveledge when a child loves you and feels safe with you.

The little things get me the most, like watching one of my dogs eat a dog biscuit, it doesn't have manners, just crunches the thing up, crumbs go everywhere, and then it licks the floor, and looks at me wtih those huge eyes, like he's saying, "Hey, ya got any more?"

Music, another great favorite, and lest I forget, that first cup of coffee in the morning, just the smell alone brightens my day.

What a great thread. Thanks!

Music, mountain biking, golf, rollerblading, sailing, playing guitar. Knowing that I am a good person & helping others.

These guys are in a cool mountain biking spot close to where I live

Coaching my daughters fastpitch u14 league team and her u12 traveling team.......i love the girls i love the game and i have just fallen in love with coaching these girls and feeding off their youth and their lust for life and living those unforgetable moments not only in my daughters life but all the girls and being able to recall them and tell them over and over again. And being proud to be apart of it all.

Remembering movies, important conversations.. exercise is a nice high, music of course. So much more energy to do things, no more lazy. Fully experiencing every moment with someone.. looking forward to such an exciting future. There's SO many! Everything is better...and THAT is a rush!

Identifying with another alcoholic, exploring the disciplines of steps 10 and 11...

Riding a bike is nice, but sitting creekside... and meditating to the sounds of the water...
