Back from vacation and still on the straight and narrow!

Just returned from a weeklong Hawaiian cruise. The good news is that it was really easy to stay sober! I rarely thought about alcohol and my husband drank wine every night with dinner. It's now been 24 days! The bad news is as soon as I got home, the cravings started with a vengeance. I guess it's environmental and a matter of habit. Like smokers who feel the desire to smoke when on the phone, etc.

It's my second day home and it would be really nice to have a drink right now. I know I shouldn't so I won't. Sigh!

Welcome

back home!

Try rearrageing your drinking 'mest'. Sit in a different chair to watch TV. Move the furniture.

I sold my bar and stools... packed up the glasses.
Used a big thermo mug + straw for my non alcoholic drinks.

Time to cruise to AA.

Make an AA contact when you would be drinking. Pick up that 21 ton phone. I go 2 a meeting 2 times only, when I need it, and when I think I don't.
