Still sober!
I have been reading more than shareing lately, but wanted to let everyone know I am still sober. I am into my 3rd week. It's a bumpy road, but thankfully I have antibuse in me or I would have drank. I knew it would be hard and I was afraid of failing, thats why I chose antibuse. That way, drinking is not an option when the cravings start. I have gotten through a lot of moments feeling miserable, but I pressed through. God either takes the problem from me or takes me through, and in this case it has been mostly taking me through. There is more of a learning process that way I quess. I drank to self medicate, and now that I am sober I am feeling EVERYTHING. What a process, to have to work through feelings. Fatique has been one of side effects I have been dealing with. So, today I am starting back to my exercising. It was a big part of my recovery last time and I loved it. I know it will help clear my head and I will feel better about myself also.
Thanks everyone for being here and shareing. It has helped me more than you know.

That is wonderful you are on your 3rd week. That is just great.
Do you feel the cravings subsiding a little? Do you notice any benefits from not drinking besides the obvious?
Keep going, you are doing wonderful and I can't wait till I'm at three weeks.
Sleep if you can. When you feel fatigued. I know that feeling very well.

Hey hey hey HeyHaze! Big ups on 3 weeks It really is an accomplishment and an inspiration.
A question for you: even with the bumps and the ups and downs and all the real feelings, do you have any regrets about not drinking for the past three weeks? Feel like you missed out on anything?
I ask this in all seriousness, because it just occurred to me yesterday (I'm a little slow) that in all the days since I stopped, I have never once thought "Boy, I really wish I had gotten drunk last night, or last week, or last month or last year." It just never happens, but the number of times I thought "Boy I really wish I hadn't gotten drunk last night" while I was still inside the bottle looking out is a very large number
