Need some help
I remember posting here when i was getting really bad with the booze on my last relapse in 2015. Withdrawal 24/7...drinking around the clock to try to keep the shakes and seizures away...it sucked.
It took too long for me to get well again. I have consequences from waiting too long that has impacted my life expectancy.
My only advise to you would be to get yourself to a place where you can be safely detoxed as soon as possible and then start a recovery plan. This illness, as you well know is deadly. I really wished I hadn't waited as long as I did.
Don't make the same mistake.

Thank you for returning and sharing. Addiction is a beast and
the only way to keep it off our backs is total abstinence by using
all our recovery support on good days as well as bad ones.
We never have to travel on this journey in recovery life alone
or figure out things by ourselves. Help is always available for
each of us for the asking.
Use what got you to 13 yrs and build upon that foundation. Strengthen
it and live upon it moving forward. Share your experiences, strengths
and hopes with us not only to help yourself remain sober but for those
who will follow.
As a fellowship in recovery we lean on each other for support
each day of our sober lives.

Gosh, I'm so sorry you find yourself back in the fire. I started back drinking after many years away from it and I know how bad it can get.
There is a way out.
We are here. Stick around and keep talking and reading.
Prayers.

Welcome back!
I once had a 5+ year streak of sobriety. Then I screwed up one night and struggled for the next year trying to get sober again. I probably quit 40 times that year and started back up 39 times.
What did you do to get sober 13 years ago?

Hi wes - I'm so glad you came back to talk about what's going on.
I did that after 3 yrs. sober. I found I lost control must faster & had a much more difficult time stopping the second time. That was proof (again) for me that I couldn't touch it. I drank for quite a long time when I relapsed - it was just before I found SR. I did so much damage & created a nightmare. This doesn't need to happen to you, and I don't believe it will. We're here to listen & help. You're never alone.
