I expect it's for elderly or people with mobility issues who might not be able to access Spam. There is a air-Spam delivery helicopter for emergency situations where Spam may need to be airlifted in.

One of my DDs is an arachnophobe (may have been nipped by a little *object* as a wee child).
When she was quite grown-up, someone thought it would be amusing to jolly her out of it by shoving one at her.
Her face went grey and she almost fainted.
I've learned to exterminate them on sight.

​​on the spider stuff - I get it’s a joke, and people are having fun and yes, ​​​​​​it’s not against the rules, and yes folks could use the ignore function - but upsetting others is not cool.

More than one member is upset. People have actually posted they’re upset, and apparently others have stopped posting.

Jokes/teasing when carried too far or too long can feel and look uncomfortably like bullying.

I don’t want to have to ride the bus every day. I haven’t got time, and neither has Anna.

This thread has always been a safe place. Let’s keep it that way.

Please remember this too is a support thread.
