Last night I watched one of my favourite movies, Flight with Denzel Washington. It's rather sobering (ha) to see how while he was high and drunk, the accident wasn't his fault, his life was still ruined.

Is it just me or do people at AA meetings have a certain cadence to their speech? I've been watching some docos on addiction, and I've been to a lot of AA meetings, and it seems like no matter where they are held, there seems to be something very similar about the way people speak, not just the expressions and jargon, but the way they put sentences together, the pauses, the emphasis etc.
