Day 100
I reached what is a big milestone for me. In another 20 days I will be 1/3 of a year sober!!
I have still got worries health wise, but I got a DR appointment on 30th. Still no regrets about quitting, I know I can never drink again (I'm too scared to, as I know relapses work as though you pick up from your last drink and not a magic reset switch because you stopped for any period of time).

congratulations on a hundred days, that is an awesome milestone.
I think it's good to have healthy fear of relapse. Because, yes, you'll be right back like you never stopped. That was the case with me, anyway.
Twenty more days. You can do it. Just remember you never have to drink again.
Best to you in sobriety.

The drink was like a friend to me, but it was a physical and emotional bully. I knew that for my own sake I had to say goodbye and try and find some friends that mean me no harm. I still have no regrets about saying goodbye. No I don't expect any regrets to show up, I was in denial about how bad my drinking was when I was drinking, but now I know in hindsight how bad I had gotten.

Great job!
Just keep looking forward and stay the course. Each day that passes the road gets a little less bumpy. You will look back on these days and Thank god you went through them. That's the only way you get to the other side. It gets easier. Better. Congratulations on day 100. Your doing fine!!
After spending a 28 day instay at a rehab facility
I was released with a 6 week aftercare recovery
program and set on a new path in life incorporating
vital tools and knowledge about addiction and
recovery in my everyday life moving forward.
I'm pretty sure fear of returning to the insanity
that came with my alcohol addiction played an
important role in helping me remain sober for a
many one days sober for the past 29 yrs.
Back in the day, 1990, computers weren't available
with all its amazing technology they have today with
it. So, I had to rely on the best thing available to me
at that time in my life, which was meetings on a continuous
bases if I wanted to continue learning how to remain
sober.
Big Book studies, AA meetings, Conventions, Step
Studies, the fellowship in recovery and my faith has
all been a vital importance in my own success in remaining
sober for as long as I have.
Today, SR has become my lifeline to recovery because
all that I learned and was taught along the way thru
the yrs, I can pass on to the new comer here and help
me remember what got me in recovery in the first place.
An addiction place I wish to never return to. So many
lessons learned with addiction and recovery to keep
me on the path of living and achieving many of life
rewarding gifts to appreciate, be grateful for and never
take for granted.
Continue to listen, learn, absorb and apply all
that you can in recovery so you too can achieve
health, happiness and honesty in all your affairs.
