Well.. As I anticipated, my boss told me it would make sense for me to resign.

Turns out taking clients to "gentlemen's clubs" is against our corporate code of ethics.. It's weird, because he was there with me, so were the other co-workers.. The only reason I got in sh*t is because it was charged to my credit card as per HIS direction.. What was I doing drinking there in the first place... Lesson learned.

I'm really sorry TG. If that's how they operate, though, it doesn't sound like a place you'd want to be or people you'd want to be around. Easy for me to say, I know, but I hope good comes from it.

Best,
Joe

Damn...
Yep, big double standards issue at work, it seems...
I'm sorry TG.
Take your talents where they're needed.
Grow from this. Not easy. But you can do it.

For sure... I guess this is what I would classify as my "bottom" when it comes to alcoholism.. If I didn't drink, that would have never happened..

From here, I can only go up !!

Not to split hairs here, but it sounds to me like getting clear of that place is already a step up. I really admire your attitude about this, TG.

Hi TG,

I'm sorry about the way that ended and it does seem awfully hypocritical. But you're right to take it as a sign of a new beginning and a hard lesson learned. This is meant to be and better things are on the way for you.

Good luck!

Love, Anna

Sorry TG

Hey TG
I'm really sorry this is how is turned up - I am VERY surprised that they could be so bloody hypocritical! It sucks! And your boss! but you know what, if those are the type of slippery 'ethics' they have...good riddance.

Make sure you agree that they'll give you an EXCELLENT reference, and then be on your way to the next challenge.

You're a talented guy, this company is losing out - their loss and your gain.

I too am very impressed by your mature approach to this - well done and chin up. You can get through this and it IS for the best.

Thoughts with you

Love
Cathy

Thanks again everyone.. It's great having you guys/gals around for support. Funny thing is, aside from my boss -- nobody else knows..

Sorry to hear about that T-G. I can't stand when management does things like that! That double standard thing almost got me fired numerous times. It really gets me riled up at work when the bosses pick and choose when to enforce their unrealistic codes. Stay close to the program, have faith that you will get trough this and find an even better position. You sound like your taking things pretty well!

Funny how things work.. I just got a call from my previous company's main competitor to talk about a potential position.. I know these guys pay more and their bonus structure is much, much better....

HP at work, no doubt !!!!!
