I honestly wasn’t sure I’d ever say that. I have at least 6 months of day 1s. I’m so happy to be able to say that. I uprooted my whole life starting with the drinking. I was living in a dark storm and taking my kids with me. I uprooted everything I’d known. I quit cold turkey and was scared to deaths. Then a few days later spontaneously decided to move back home two states away. I don’t know how much that has helped with the no booze lifestyle. But it is nice to have family around now. They don’t know the extent of my drinking and neither does my kids really. Everyone just knew I drank. I’ll casually count my days and mention it every once in awhile lol. They don’t really get the amusement in it for me.

Confession time... I may have traded one addiction for another. They have a coffee place in the next town over that makes these mixed drinks out of red bulls. I’m so hooked. I love them. I get one everytime I’m in town. Which is often. Now instead of day dreaming about having a home hangout with a stocked bar. I’m dreaming of games of pool and red bull “mock”tails. I guess I still have some work to day.
