5 Years into Eternity
Hats off to all you starters out there and just so you stay focused, it really does get better as I can attest to it. If I can do it, so can you!
Over the holidays I visited some family and friends at a BYOB restaurant and someone brought a bottle of Eggnog. Years ago my focus would have been shattered but I am so far removed from the clutches that I just declined the offer responding that I don't drink. The best part is I didn't care one bit, I no longer give a damn.
Hang in there and you'll see, just don't give in. It takes a while but eventually you'll never have to feel the first day, week or month jitters again. Yes, it really does get better!
Wishing everyone a safe, sober, great year. May this be the year you kick it to the curb once and for all and to all that have marched this far or farther keep on keeping on. It's beautiful isn't it?
