Nearing the 2-Year Mark...

A year and a half of...
  • Sobriety
  • Fitness
  • Clean Eating
  • Sleep
  • Meditation
  • Gratitude
...equals...
  • A calm, clear mind free of brain-fog
  • 40# lost
  • The ability to face difficult situations free of crippling anxiety
  • Restful, restorative sleep
  • More focus
  • Increased reading and learning retention
  • Better concentration
  • Optimism and exuberance at an all-time high
  • Depression a thing of the past
  • More career and financial success than I've ever experienced
So yeah, you can heal. You can recover. But you gotta want it. It's not about resisting the urge to drink for a couple of weeks. Like everything in life that is worth having, it takes hard work, dedication and effort. You will slip occasionally. You may even stumble. But you are the one person on this Earth who can make it happen.

Go now, and make your dreams come true.

I am at 20 months sober. But I keep thinking lately about how good a cold bottle of beer would taste. And when I think about that cold beer I try to push all other thoughts of sobriety and what Ive accomplished away because it ruins the pleasant thought of the cold beer. It really is the best drink in the world. I know I can't have just one. But I wish I could.

Fantastic report. You stopped one month before I did, and I can report having experienced virtually the same benefits, rewards and improvements. Every aspect of my life has improved, dramatically improved. If people knew how much booze is holding them back, even normie drinkers, I think a lot of people would do what we've done and quit.

Congratulations! Definitely an inspirational thread. I'm extremely excited and curious about the improvements I will notice at even 6 months. So far I'm 56 days sober. No BEER except ginger beer which has 0.00% alcohol.

I can relate to a few of these results, one being I've lost 18 pounds in the last 2 months just from cutting out alcohol.. My belt doesn't even hold my pants up at the last notch anymore. lol

Hi Fitcher,

It was so nice to log in and see such an encouraging post. I am creeping up on the two year mark as well, I'm at 21.5 months right now, and January 1st will celebrate two years. When is your two year anniversary?
