Congratulations.. can I ask what you do at weekends if before you frequented the pubs and bars ect?... I can't imagine getting to your stage, going out with others that drink and stay sober? X

Yes I had to change where I frequent and I do not go to bars and pubs anymore. I didn't have a lot of drinking friends or friends in general so I drank a lot alone at the house. Nowadays if someone asks if I want to go have a beer I politely decline. Frankly, I can't stand being around drunk people or people drinking so I just stay away. Wasn't easy at first but now I prefer sober people around me.

I have a lot of hobbies and interests that I pursue on weekends. The key is to replace that bar time with something meaningful for you. What that is you will have to research. Some people volunteer, some people get hobbies. Many things you can do. Whatever you do though, do not frequent places or events where the main idea is to drink. That is a slippery slope which I believe only lead to one thing. Good luck.
