I've gained the 10 lbs I needed to gain but now ready to stop gaining, must forgo the nighttime Puffin cereal habit I've developed. Thanks for the article about Trading addictions, I do watch my sugar and salt but think my metabolism and overall health is just changed for the better, now I need to balance diet and exercise better.
In early recovery I ate a lot of chicken soup. My stomach was queasy and soup did not bother it.
Now that I'm sober quite a while, I've got a new addiction: M&Ms dark chocolate peanut. I eat them a lot and love them.

Like you folks, craving terrible sweet things like peanut butter Captain Crunch cereal. I told myself I could eat anything (in reasonable portions) for the first 30 days of sobriety, then will start on shifting to a healthier diet. One huge thing at a time!
