I have been talking to a long term friend about all that's been going on. I have never actually met him in person even though we have been in contact for 15 years or so. He lives right at the other end of the country from me.
He is going to spend his leave from work with me - 17 days - and we are going to visit every military, aviation and motorcycle museum we can find, all over the country.
It'll be good just to have someone around, let alone all the fun roadtrips.
The kindness of people never ceases to amaze me.

I live in the UK.
Actually I will be visiting the USA, kind of. One event we are going to is at a former joint RAF\USAF base called Bentwaters, where they have a museum and a 'Cold War' day.
