Great post Lilly , wasted 25 years of weekends waking up like that on a Saturday morning , wasted weekends brutally hungover as my only daughter was growing up , truly tragic.
All behind me thank god , 5 years sober now in a couple of weeks ( blatant brag )
Now Saturday mornings wake up about 630am , go downstairs radio on and eat porridge and drink coffee , love this quite time of day , serene . Then at about 815am I go do #parkrun ! Have a look Lilly and think about it , best community activity in the U.K. 9am up and down the land turn up with your barcode , run walk a timed 5k , friendliest event ever, every single week of the year , great for people just thinking about returning to excersise or running , oh boy how my weekends have changed , I now have the most precious commidity 100 % clear headed time !

I know those mornings all too well. Hellish, scary and regretful. Love a sober morning, feels so dang good.
