Hi all :-)

I have literally had the best weekend I have had in 5 years. All other weekends consisted of hangovers, anxiety, guilt and existing.
I have only been sober for 8 days now but it is the best feeling in the world. I have bad moments but the good moments outweigh the bad ones!
All I can say to anyone who is "thinking" about giving up.... Keep pushing through and remember this life is to be lived!! :-)

Many of us recovered drunks at one time in early recovery also had those same thoughts but, for no good reason that we can remember in short time we had yet another drink in our hand.

Gather as many sober tools as you can
for most all will come in very handy for the early recovering one.

sure simply surviveing is one thing but its much better to thrive
