The organized alcoholic
I wish I'd had a spotless bathroom to puke in during my hangovers.
I didn't.
Think of a spotless bathroom and imagine the dank awful uncleaned opposite.
That was where I got down on my knees to hurl on a fairly frequent basis.
Sometimes I just went out in the woods (I live in the country) since at least it smelled better.
Outwardly, everything looked normal. Behind closed doors, far from that. . .
Don't miss drinking, don't miss hangovers one little itty bitty bit

I was constantly changing my drinking rules to prove to myself that I didn't have a problem. I have several drinking apps on my phone to prove it. LOL. When someone on SR mentioned that people who do not have problems with alcohol do not have to even think about controlling it, that was an Aha moment for me.
I was an overachieving drinker, as well. When I first quit, I felt tired and lazy. But now at 15 months sober, life just seems to naturally flow like it never has before.

Mine was 4:30 - 5:00, after work time. If you like to cook it's a great distraction and a fun creative outlet. I also find it calming. Some nights I went to bed at 7:00 pm. Eventually I just changed what I was doing at that time. It's tough but you can do it! I agree with Purpleknight--make a new routine for that time of day. In the evening I drink herbal tea ad wind down with reading also. Good luck.
I was not organised and my house was not clean. My clothes were not ironed and my business was on its knees.. not much has changed yet !
My organizational skills left in disgust years ago...
Hopefully I can get myself together this year
