similar withdrawl symptoms

So my next big feat is quitting chewing tobacco after 8 years of use. I figure a good time to stop would be my 1 year booze free anniversary. I started weening myself off by simply using less everyday and have noticed that the withdrawl symptoms i am getting are very similar in respect to what i experienced when quitting drinking.

At least this time i wont have to worry about any serious health risks while going through it. It is actually a great reminder for me - that feeling which is very similar to the one i would get if i missed my normal drinking time by a few hours. I know you all know what i mean.

Anyway this is my last addiction to quit. Two down and this last one to go.

thats good!. I had quit smoking in the past but really it was not till i quit booze and took what i learned from quiting that and applied it to other things that i was able to quit my smoking and clean up my diet and start exercising etc..

in hindsite in my case booze was my main issue all along once I beat that the rest was not so bad.

I got lucky with chewing tobacco. even tho i was totally hooked on cigarettes for some reason chewing tobacco I could always pick it up and put it down with no trouble at all strange as that may sound. I used to love red man but i never got hooked on it. I'd get a pouch and endulge for a month or something then put it down for years.

I'm right there with you downtown. I actually switched up brands a week ago for a weaker chew. But when I came home with two cans the wife gave it to me good.
"I thought you were quitting?" I was. It is not easy after a long time. But I find I'm using less. I keep telling the girl at the counter 'last one.'
By xmas!

Haha thats funny about the girl at the counter - I told the guy at the conv. store about a year ago dont sell it to me anymore i am trying to quit. The next day i walked in like i never said it to him. He said sorry you said not to give it to you. Of course he did as its money in his pocket.

I switched over to pouches as they werent so hard on my gums and progressed to putting four in at a time. I plan on just using 2 for a week each session then 1 and then hopefully none by dec 22. I stopped earlier in the year for about 2 months so i know i can do it. Good luck happy holidays to you too!

You too. My downfall was when they came out with xtra.
then I found something cheaper recently.
when I was on a cruise I was good after a few days.
when I spent time in california I was good after a fewndays because I refused to spend 8 bucks for a can.
silly isn't it?

yeah it really is - iam spending $35 a week on tins. I tried swedish snus for a while but it doesnt have the same mind bending kick that american dip has. i just ended up putting more in. Either way i am stopping for sure. not familiar with xtra - more nicotine?
