I suffer from depression and I am sober. I found it didn't affect the core condition but I value the way I feel so much better about myself. Do you know that feeling of self-reproach and regret you wake up with the next morning? Well that's gone.

Drinking was a lousy antidepressant.

Yep. I take 100mg sertraline (zoloft) each day.

I feel way better after some sober time.

Not days, but 2 months or so has been my experience.

It can get worse at first, so see a Dr about it.
