What's your experience with the final 4 months of the 1st year?
All of your replies have been so informative and helpful! I'm happy to read that no one agrees 9 months is the sand trap I've read about elsewhere. But I've definitely gotten some food for thought about getting caught up in counting days and months. On some level I've been fantasizing about the day I hit the elusive year. Thinking that the first 364 days are the hardest. I think it's natural to think this sober process is linear, but it's good to be reminded that it's so very individual and rather elusive too. Evaluating expectations, reeling them in, and building them back up has been a major theme of my (early) sobriety. Rinse, repeat and so on.

I got this wrong. I was nine months sober on Christmas Eve not my birthday.
Not sure why I needed to clarify that. I guess it is that honesty thing...lol AND I need to learn to count!
