Day 5 of sobriety I slept for 12 hours the night before woke up felt great , no today I woke up and only got about 6 hours I sleep I feel sick , weak , pains in the back of my legs . Had these symptoms the fist 2 days now there back? Is it normal to be on and off feeling I'll ?

Hi, I had really bad insomnia for the first few weeks and some sickness in the first day or so which goes hand in hand with feeling weak etc, it's no fun but it makes you not want to relapse to go through it again.

Hi Patrick
a lot of us get sick in early recovery. I don't think a lot of us realise what a pounding our body gets with years of drinking.

Maybe this is just a simple bug?
