New (OLD) doctor
I have been struggling with trying to find a doctor that I have a rapport with for a long time. I went to the same doctor for over 20 years. He delivered my (now 30 year old) daughter. Then due to the fact that my HMO didn't allow me to see him, I went from doctor to doctor that I didn't trust or get along with. Looking for a new psychiatrist to help get my depression and ADHD under control has me overwhelmed, and that caused me to keep on drinking. I know I am hurting my health, making myself sick, hurting my looks, and destroying my life. I have very little money, but just today decided it is worth going back to my original doctor even though I will have to scrimp and save and pay for it myself. If I succeed in stopping drinking it will pay for itself! I feel better just for the fact that I made the appointment today!
isn't America wonderful? I had to do the same thing with dentists when my company chose another plane, I finally got back to MY dentist after a few years. I was willing to pay out of pocket for regular cleanings/checkups
if you are trying to get a good MD for medical or mental health, there is a web site(s) that people/patients rates them and leave comments. i found mind there and i am glad i did.
but if you really like your doctor, that is great keep with it.
