day 5
On day 5. I'm really thankful to be sober today! Have been going to AA meetings and reading this site. Now that the haze has started to clear it's shocking to realize how I've acted recently while drinking. A 45 year old man who reverts into a 14 yr old while under the influence. I must have confused and angered a lot of people in my life. Thanks to everyone here for planting the seed for this change.

It's amazing when you take away alcohol how clearly you can view life/problems. I know I angered a lot of people with my drinking,it feels good to wake up and not feel guilt and shame from the night before. Congratulations on day 5 I'm also on day 5
Glad your here paloverde. Just don't drink no matter what happens in your life. I can absolutely 100 percent assure you that life is better with out drinking. Sobriety is a treat. Thank you for coming here! And congrats on day 5, thats awesome.
Well done on 5 days.
Sounds like you have started your journey!!
Try not to have too many expectations and prepare for a few rocks on the road.
You are not alone, many of us are walking right alongside you.
The road takes us to a beautiful place if we can just keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Be kind to yourself.
Whatever you may have done will be dwarfed by the good that you now have a chance to do on your way.
Never alone again with this if you don't want to be.
Head up now.
