Quitting today
Happy Birthday, belly button AND sobriety wise.
I have found that as I age I leave behind a lot of things I did when I was younger. Some I just lose interest in, some...my body or mind can't tolerate anymore. But the door opens to new interests, relationships, hobbies, etc.
My last drink was on the day my divorce was made final. I guess I realized it truly was time to leave behind unhealthy relationships.

On day 2 ,im taking a .5 klonopin morning and evening .
I don't think the klonopin would be needed , but im prescribed them anyway ,and never take them ,so I thought id go ahead and take them for 3 days for insurance .
No problems at all ,no shakes or any of that stuff .

Well day 2 is done ,got a lot done , taking my second .5 klonopin .
Tomorrow ,ill continue with them morning and evening ,I think that will be my last day .
Im not sure I really needed the meds anyway , but I knew they would not hurt ,and I was starting to get that same old anxiety -while drinking I used to get .
Its amazing how quick we can get back where we were ,I could drink a 12 pack when I was off and never be drunk . I could have actually drank quite a bit more than that .
I was very shocked I still had such a tolerance .

Best decision I ever made was quitting. I would never ever be the best that I could be as a drinker. I like not living a half-assed life. It's cool.
Glad you're giving it up. I've never met one person who regretted it.
