Lots of folks who drink to excess are concerned about their liver health. If you are one of those, a visit to your doctor is best. He can do some tests and advise what is best for you.

Good Luck.

Agreed - get it checked out with your doc if you have concerns. We've all hurt ourselves in many ways by drinking, but we aren't medical professionals.

I agree, it can't hurt to get it checked out, and it would give you peace of mind and allow you to get treatment if there is a problem. My husband drank and drugged for more than twenty years. He was afraid to go to the doctor because he was certain he would have all sorts of damage. But he's fine. He's actually healthier than me, and he's almost twenty years older, lol! We also know people who spent way less time drinking who have had liver damage. So it just depends on the person.

Welcome Brando - good advice here - if you have worries or concerns, it really is best to see your Dr - most of us found things weren't as bad as we feared

Brando I went to the doc a few weeks ago and I was very nervous about my lab work, but it felt good that I faced that fear. All my tests came back good and now that's done my anxiety has greatly diminished. I think my mind is now more focused on staying sober then worrying about my health issues. It will be fine and Good Luck!

Like others have said go get a test. Believe me it will give you peace of mind. I waited until about 6-7 months to get mine tested and it came back fine.

I kick myself now as I wasted months doing nothing but worrying about nothing.
