No Time Like The Present
Well I'm a recovering alcoholic who has been sober for only 3 days. I lost my job earlier this week and I'm finally ready to get honest and get working on my sobriety! Like many people I have been in and out of AA meetings- got a sponsor about a year ago but she wasn't helpful and I basically fell off the wagon. Since then I've been drinking on and off- going sometimes a few weeks at a time without drinking- but just when I think I've got it all under control I get wasted again out of nowhere. I went back too AA two days ago and I have another meeting today. I'm excited about this forum- something about being honest with strangers is extremely helpful! I'm at risk for losing my husband and son- but more importantly- I know I'm in a fight for my life at this point- there's no time like the present....I know I can do this but not without help

Glad you are on SR! One day you can also be more honest in person, too. Give time time and heal well!
